The upgraded E clutch drum increases clutch capacity by 29% over OEM, providing a significant gain in torque-holding capability. But capacity alone isn’t enough.
The billet apply piston increases surface area and eliminates deflection under pressure, ensuring that apply force is distributed evenly across the clutch pack. This prevents clutch coning and uneven wear—two major contributors to failure in high-load environments.

Faster Clutch Apply
Reducing regulator valve engagement pressure allows clutch packs to reach full clamping force more quickly. This shortens shift duration and minimizes energy lost as heat.
Increased Line Pressure (Controlled)
Higher line pressure increases clamping force across all clutch packs, while a built-in bypass system prevents over-compression and material fatigue.
Improved Torque Converter Lock-Up
The lock-up circuit is modified to reduce slip time and increase apply pressure, allowing the converter clutch to engage faster and hold more effectively under load.

Heat is the primary cause of transmission failure. The factory lube circuit is insufficient for high-demand use.
By increasing lubrication pressure from ~6 PSI to ~20 PSI, the system delivers significantly more oil to critical components, improving heat removal and reducing friction-related wear.
