Flare upshifts or downshift bind-ups are common problems in vehicles equipped with ZF6HP19/26/32 (Gen. 1) and Ford 6R60, 6R80, 6R100 transmissions. These problems can be accompanied by a coastdown neutral condition, or pressure control out-of-range codes. The clutch control valve controls clutch apply and release timing, and problems occur when the clutch control valve wears. To fix these issues, Sonnax offers the oversized clutch A control valve kit 95740-09K to restore shift timing and vehicle drivability.

 

  • Hardcoat anodized aluminum valves combat premature wear and fit tighter to the bore than OE for better sealing
  • Boost sleeve is highly wear-resistant to increase life
  • F-95740-TL8 tool kit can be used for both 95740-08K and 95740-09K oversized valve kits

Cause:

The clutch control valve provides source pressure for control of clutch apply and release. Responding to TCU and the linear solenoid, the clutch control valve establishes control timing of apply and release relative to engine torque. Bore wear will cause an overlap or premature exhaust of clutch pressure.
 

Correction:
