This Loaded 68RFE Overdrive Drum Assembly is designed as a complete drop-in replacement unit, making it easy to upgrade one of the most failure-prone areas of the transmission without the guesswork.

At the core of this assembly is the Sonnax Smart-Tech overdrive drum, a significant advancement over the OE design. Featuring a bolt-on apply plate system, this drum dramatically reduces clutch pack and drum deflection under load—one of the primary causes of clutch failure.

By eliminating deflection, the Smart-Tech design delivers:

• Consistent and even clutch apply pressure

The SRRS is precision-machined from billet T-6061 aluminum and manufactured in-house on CNC equipment at our Fort Walton Beach, Florida facility. Unlike traditional snap ring systems that are prone to flex, groove wear, and loss of retention, the SRRS:

• Maintains positive snap ring engagement under extreme load
• Prevents snap ring walk-out and groove distortion
• Adds rigidity and stability to the clutch pack
