The Coan Racing COA‑11124 "Ultimate Big Dog" Super Glide 28″ transmission is a purpose-built powerhouse tailored for the most demanding high-performance Powerglide applications. This all-in-one assembly features a rugged steel hub and a ringless aerospace alloy super shaft designed for maximum torque durability. At its heart is the billet gerotor Super Pump that ensures robust and consistent hydraulic flow under extreme conditions.

Power transfer is handled by a Coan “Maximum Duty” straight-cut planetary gearset with an aluminum carrier, paired with a billet output shaft for enhanced strength and precision. The transmission also includes a super drum with 10 blue friction plates to support elevated torque capacity, ideal for serious street or track use.

The setup does not compromise on cooling or construction. It’s housed in a fabricated deep aluminum pan and reinforced with a Reid-prepped case and tailhousing, ensuring durability and fluid efficiency. Control is optimized through a Pro Tree billet brake valve body with reverse lockout, delivering instant-launch capability and intentional braking during competition starts. It’s engineered as a 28-inch bolt-in unit, offering direct-fit installation and delivering complete race-ready functionality straight from Coan's production line.
