The Coan Racing COA‑22047 Adjustable Pressure Regulator Kit is a precision-engineered performance upgrade tailored for TH400 transmissions. Designed to enhance hydraulic control, the kit includes a billet aluminum bore plug, adjustable set-screw, jam nut, spring seat, and a high-tension regulator spring intended to recalibrate line pressure for high-performance applications.

Installation involves removing the factory regulator assembly and machining a slot into the pump casting. This slot allows the roll-pin-equipped bore plug to secure in the pump housing. The installer then assembles the OEM regulator valve with the included spring seat and spring, inserts the assembled regulator valve into the pump, and secures the adjustable bore plug, compressing the spring and retaining it with the factory snap ring. Coan's calibration ensures that, once installed and adjusted, the system delivers a baseline pressure of approximately 160–170 psi, with each turn of the adjuster screw increasing pressure by about 7.5 psi.
